Resto al Sud – Incentives for New Tourism Businesses
Although not specifically geared toward tourism, Resto al Sud represents an excellent opportunity for those who want to start a B&B, guesthouse, or other tourism business in:
📍 Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, the earthquake-affected area of Central Italy, and the smaller islands of Central and Northern Italy.
Requirements: Must be between the ages of 18 and 55.
💰 What does it fund?
✔️ Up to 100% of the investment, broken down as follows:
🔹 50% non-repayable grant
🔹 50% interest-free loan
The maximum amount is 50,000 euros per applicant (up to 200,000 euros for companies with four partners).
For sole proprietorships, the maximum limit is 60,000 euros.
In addition, upon completion of the investment, an additional non-repayable grant of up to 40,000 euros is available for companies and 15,000 euros for sole proprietorships.
Mini PIA Tourism – Incentives for Apulian SMEs
This program is intended for tourism and hospitality businesses of all sizes, business networks, and consortia operating in Apulia.
📌 Main objectives:
✔️ Renovation of historic buildings and farmhouses to transform them into tourist accommodations.
✔️ Improvement of quality standards and eco-friendly services.
✔️ Digitalization of tourism businesses.
✔️ Training for industry professionals and support for employment, including employment opportunities for women.
💰 How does it work?
🔹 Direct non-repayable grant
🔹 Capital grant (based on the interest on the bank loan)
🔹 Issuance of loan guarantees
📌 Eligible expenses:
✔️ Restoration and redevelopment of abandoned buildings, farmhouses, trulli, towers, and historic buildings.
✔️ Investments ranging from 500,000 to 2 million euros for business networks/consortia.
✔️ Eligible expenses up to 90% of the integrated package.
